How to Watch ABC, ESPN, & Disney on YouTube TV without Live Guide

Since YouTube TV and Disney came to a deal to add back channels such as ABC, ESPN, Disney, and FX, the channels have not shown up in many customers’ Live channel guides. If a YouTube TV channel guide has been customized, any Disney-owned channels are not showing up. YouTube TV has provided me assurances that their team is currently working on a solution to add the channels soon.

You can find ABC, Disney, ESPN, FX, and National Geographic on the YouTube home screen if unavailable in the Live guide. On the Home screen, navigate down until you see a row of colored circles with logos in them. Navigate right or left to find a channel and press OK/Enter to go to that channel’s page. See below for illustrated step-by-step directions.

Watching YouTube TV Channels through the Home Screen

1) Open the YouTube TV app and the Home Screen will appear. If you are already in the YouTube TV app, press back until you are on the top row and Navigate to “Back”

2) Navigate down to almost the bottom of the screen, until you see a row of colored circles with channel logos

3) Navigate right or left until you find your desired channel and press OK/Enter

4) The channel page will then appear on your screen

5) Navigate down once until “Live” is highlighted with a white box around it

6) Navigate right once and press OK to join the channel live

7) Some channels are embedded under a parent channel. For example, ESPN has ACCN, ESPN 2, ESPN U, ESPNews, and SEC Network. See {NAME} below for more information

8) If you would like to see what is upcoming, navigate right in the row you have selected. Pressing OK/Enter will take you to that program’s page
